I’ve spent nearly 30 years working in nonprofit healthcare, a path I was only able to sustain because of PSLF. After paying for college and a master’s degree in social work with federal loans, PSLF made it financially possible to stay in lower-paying roles across hospitals, community organizations, and long-term care, where I now coordinate patient transitions and mentor new social workers.
