My PSLF Testimonial

Nesta, former Child Welfare Attorney, Ashley, Pennsylvania

“I’m a former foster child myself, and I wanted to go to law school in order to represent foster children and ultimately to try to reform the child welfare system.”

After attending an expensive law school without family financial support, PSLF allowed me to choose public interest law over higher-paying private sector work, so I could advocate for children navigating the foster system and ensure their voices were heard. The work is demanding and emotionally heavy, but it’s essential, and PSLF made that commitment financially sustainable. To me, the program isn’t just about loan relief; it’s what enables people like me to serve vulnerable communities and strengthen the systems they rely on.
